Kingston and Arthur's Vale Historic Area Governance Review

The closing date for public comments is 2 July 2010 and submissions should identify the name of the party making them, the organisation they represent (if applicable) and contact details.

The Australian Government, in consultation with the Norfolk Island Government and the KAVHA Management Board, undertook a review of the governance arrangements for this important cultural heritage site which has local, national and international significance. The review is intended to identify improvements for the management, administration and operation of the site.

The Government invited submissions on the current governance arrangements for KAVHA in accordance with the KAVHA review terms of reference. These were accepted by the Attorney-General’s Department from 14 November 2008 until 31 December 2008.

On 24 May 2010 the Minister for Home Affairs, the Hon Brendan O’Connor MP, released the KAVHA review report. The Government has called for a six week community consultation period and welcomes public feedback regarding the recommendations in this report.
