The Protective Security Training Centre (PSTC) is the Australian Government's provider of protective security training to Australian Government agencies, State and Territory government agencies and government contractors.
The PSTC is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
The PSTC can award participants national-recognised Qualifications and Statements of Attainment. Qualifications can be undertaken through participation in training programs (courses) and completion of workplace projects and assignments or can be achieved wholly, or in part, through assessment by recognition.
The majority of PSTC training programs are mapped to nationally recognised qualifications and units of competency contained in the PSP04 Public Sector Training Package Version 3.
The training programs cover the government security and regulatory competency fields.
Participants can specialise in the security field most relevant to their needs.
