
The Department is committed to consulting all of those with a stake in Personal Property Securities (PPS) Reform.
As part of this consultation process the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee undertook a number of inquiries into the PPS reform. These inquiries invited stakeholder submissions on the various exposure drafts of the Personal Property Securities Bill and consequent amending Bill. The Senate Committee Inquiries are:
The Department responded to the issues raised in the Inquiries via submissions and through the production of public documents. The Senate Committee Inquiry into the Personal Property Securities Bill 2009 [Provisions] consolidated comments made to the Inquiry on the Bill (Appendix 4 to its report).

The Personal Property Securities (PPS) Regulations: Exposure Draft and Commentary is available from the Attorney-General's Department's PPS Downloads page. Submissions were sought and received by 4 June 2010.
