Information and Communications Technology Operations
The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Operations Branch assists its clients to use technology to enhance their productivity, manage information and communicate with others. It does this by providing appropriate, secure, reliable and cost effective technological solutions to business problems.
The teams in ICT Operations Branch manage and deliver:
- ICT strategy that supports the business of the department, including working with IT Planning and Development Branch (ITPaD) to set common approaches in areas such as standards, applications, business processes and aggregated ICT procurement
- network and ICT infrastructure
- fixed and mobile phone and data services
- email, internet and file and print servers
- ICT security
- development and implementation of ICT financial and contract management
- servers and desktop support
- Client Relationship Management (CRM) including development and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and
- strategic planning and business continuity for the ICT environment.
