IT Planning and Development Branch
IT Planning and Development (ITPAD) is responsible for development and implementation of technology directions and architecture policies and principals. The Branch ensures that high level enterprise strategy is linked to lower level goals and objectives. The Branch also is a business enabler for the Department, where we align the Department’s strategic and business plans with easy to use, secure and reliable IT solutions.
The ITPAD Branch is comprised of three sections:
- Application Development and Web Publishing - partners with the business to deliver easy to use web based solutions as well as providing web site content, publishing services and training for the Department.
- Capability Development - is responsible for the innovative delivery and implementation of business systems. It also assesses capabilities and business requirements to identify appropriate development and implementation strategies prior to transition over to operational line areas.
- Strategy and Policy Management - is committed to achieving the AGD's strategic priorities by documenting and implementing changes to technology, business process and governance to align PITD operations with Government and Departmental strategic policy directions.
