
Deputy Secretary, Strategic Policy and Coordination Group Renée Leon is Deputy Secretary, Strategic Policy and Coordination Group, in the Attorney-General’s Department.
In this role Renée is responsible for a wide range of matters including strategic policy and law reform, Constitutional policy, public affairs, Cabinet and Ministerial coordination, financial management, human resources and information technology.
Prior to her return to the Attorney-General’s Department, Renée served as the Chief Executive of the ACT Department of Justice and Community Safety. She has served in the Australian Public Service for 17 years, mostly in the Attorney-General's Department, holding a range of SES positions responsible for human rights, access to justice and international law.
Renée was the Menzies Law Scholar in 1995 and holds a Masters degree from Cambridge University.
