Senate Continuing Order File Lists

In accordance with ‘Senate Continuing Order’, as varied by the Senate on 3 December 1998, relevant new files created for the Attorney-General’s Department are listed below. The order also requires portfolio agencies to display their file lists on their internet homepage.
The lists do not include:

  • files transferred to National Archives of Australia
  • case related files
  • files essentially related to the internal administration of the department or agency
  • cabinet related material.

Relevant new files may include ‘policy advising functions’, ‘development of legislation’ and other matters of public administration.
